Feed the Frog

This is one of my favorite quiet book pages simply because of how cute it is!  I’m so happy with how it turned out.  Kids get to work on their motor skills, threading the frog’s tongue through each fly’s wings to help feed the frog.  Feed the Frog quiet book page. I used mostly felt and ribbon for this page.  I cut the flies out without any pattern and tucked the ribbon loop wings under the felt before sewing.  For the frog I drew lightly on the felt and did a straight stitch to “draw” the lines for the legs, head, etc.  I slit a small opening in the mouth and tucked the ribbon in there before sewing.  I also held the exposed end of the ribbon near a candle’s flame to sear the edges and keep it from fraying after hours of playing. Feed the Frog quiet book page.
