This name puzzle makes for a fun personalized quiet book page. It’s fantastic for working on letter formation and learning to spell one’s name. I tried to picture each pencil stroke needed for each letter and broke the letters up that way. My hope is that it will reinforce things for learning to write letters.
After sewing the velcro on (either just in the middle or on both ends of the pieces) I realized it may be a while before my little one figures out how the letter pieces are supposed to go. I decided to make it a little easier by stitching the lines for each letter piece on the page. I didn’t want to make it stand out too much…just enough to give a hint if needed.
Each letter is a different color. The stitching for the velcro and letter lines on the page matches the color of the letter on it to provide guidance when all the pieces are pulled off and mixed together.Everything was cut out freehand for this page. “A” was the easiest letter to make. I used one of the long pieces of the A as a guide for length and width when I made the other letters.
